About Me
I am a trained End of Life Doula based in New York City with a deep understanding and respect that everyone brings their own fears, beliefs, and experiences to the topic of death and dying. All of which can make discussing and preparing for your own death difficult and scary, especially when having to do so unexpectedly. My mission is to provide information, support and a safe space so that you feel empowered to make decisions that reflect and honor how you want to be cared for while dying and after death. I strongly believe that when we are able to discuss these things openly, it sheds light on the darkness we carry around death and hopefully, ease some of the fear.
As a queer person, it is extremely important to me that in dying/death, the LGBTQ+ community is supported by the family of people held most dear…that respect your name, pronouns, partner(s), etc.
I feel our death should reflect the life we have lived and to remember that life doesn’t have to stop just because we know the end is near. There is always time for beauty, laughter and light. It would be an honor to walk alongside you in this journey.
TestimoniaLS
“Kelly has been an amazing help to our family in assisting with my mother's long term care. She's been instrumental in helping my family manage the complex scheduling, medical care team coordination (including doctors' visits, medication needs, and therapist visits), and one-off projects and issues that can be so complicated in a long term care dynamic. I highly recommend her to any family who's dealing with long term medical care, with everything that entails. Kelly will make the unmanageable seem not just manageable, but easy. “ - Eliza, NYC
“In the darkness that is geriatric support, Kelly is truly a beacon of light. Kelly is responsible, reliable, and extraordinarily nurturing, providing my 93-year old grandmother with boundless love and support. She engages my grandmother with artistic and creative exercises, which enables my grandmother to communicate and connect in ways not otherwise accessible. Kelly is diligent, thoughtful, and quick to report any notable shifts in my grandmother's behavior or the facility's care. Our lives have improved tremendously since we began working with Kelly.” - Aliza, NYC
