About Me
After completing my Nursing Assistant certification in 2017, I pursued becoming an RN but wasn’t feeling connected to the work. A dear friend suggested I look into End of Life Doula training which I had never heard of before. Within 20 minutes on my first day, I knew this work was what I was called to do.
Everyone has their own fears, beliefs, and experiences when it comes to death and dying. These things can all make discussing and preparing for your own death difficult and scary, especially when having to do so unexpectedly. My mission is to provide information, support and a safe space so that you feel empowered to make decisions that reflect and honor how you want to be cared for while dying and after death. I strongly believe that when we are able to discuss these things openly, it sheds light on the darkness we carry around death and hopefully, ease some of the fear.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I know that our family can be composed of people who may not be related to us by blood. I want to ensure that in dying/death, you are supported by the family of people you hold most dear…that respect your name, pronouns and partner(s).
It is important that our death reflects the life we have lived and it would be my privilage to walk along side you in this journey.
